‘Rivian,’ the American electric vehicle manufacturer founded in 2009, has recently debuted its newest road vehicle, the Rivian R1S SUV. This is the second vehicle line from the automaker, with the first being the Rivian R1T electric truck. The SUV costs slightly more than the truck at an MSRP of $72,500 USD.

The Rivian R1S has impressive specifications for an electric SUV. It features one motor for each wheel that, when combined, deliver a total of 835 horsepower and 908 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle boasts a total of 260 miles of range with its default configuration, which is a very high-end specification in the electric SUV market. In terms of its acceleration and speed, the R1S can accelerate from 0-60 in just three seconds, while its top speed reaches approximately 120 mph.

Aside from the regular specifications, the R1S includes a wide range of smart features based on Rivian’s ecosystem including adjustable driving modes, adjustable interiors, and the ability to connect to a mobile device.
